What is MSSY Scheme?

Mukhyamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana (MSSY) is a flagship solar employment scheme launched by the Government of Uttarakhand to promote clean energy and create self-employment in rural and semi-urban areas. It enables eligible individuals—unemployed youth, farmers, ex-servicemen, and returning migrants—to set up grid-connected solar power plants from 25 kW to 200 kW on barren land, rooftops, or unused spaces.

Beneficiaries can sell solar electricity to Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) at a fixed tariff, ensuring secure income for 25 years. The government also provides subsidies and fast-track approvals to make solar entrepreneurship more accessible.

At Raysteeds Energy, we streamline the MSSY journey—from land assessment and capacity planning to installation, documentation, and grid connection. Our team offers technical support and subsidy guidance to help applicants build sustainable solar businesses. This scheme not only empowers individuals but also advances India’s clean energy mission by promoting decentralized solar generation at the grassroots.
